The 10 participating teams play a Preliminary Single Round Robin competition. Thereafter, the 3rd – 4th ranked teams play for the bronze medal, with the 1st – 2nd ranked teams play for the gold medal.
Women Softball Asia Cup 2025 is a qualifier for both of the following:
1. The WBSC World Cup Group Stage 2026 – 3 Asia slots.
2. The 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Softball competition – top 8 teams qualify.
