WBSC awards hosting rights: Youth Baseball5 World Cup 2025 to Mexico, Baseball5 World Cup 2026 to Italy

There are two options for the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup 2025 in Mexico – Guadalajara and Merida – while Rome will host the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2026.

Baseball5 fans and athletes around the world can map out their agendas for the next two years after the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) awarded Mexico the hosting rights to the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup 2025 and Italy the hosting rights to the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2026.

Mexico hosted the historic maiden edition of the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2022 in the famous El Zocalo and has now earned the rights to host the second edition of the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup, which will serve as a qualifying event for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.

After hosting a WBSC World Cup for the first time with the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage in 2023 and the Finals in 2024 in the North Eastern Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Italian Baseball Softball Federation (FIBS) will now host the third edition of the WBSC Baseball5 World Cup.

The WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2024 starts on Monday in Hong Kong, China and continues the list of dynamic venues and settings for one of the WBSC’s most exciting properties. The mixed-gender, urban discipline is taking the world by story with 50 National Federations currently featured on the WBSC/KONAMI Baseball5 World Ranking with Chinese Taipei, Cuba and Tunisia currently filling the top three positions.

The cities and dates for both tournaments will be announced at a later date.
