SOFTBALL ASIA are pleased to inform that Softball Asia (SA), in collaboration with Japan Softball Association and the Head Coach of the Japan National Women Softball Team, will be organising a Softball Coaching clinic as follows:
Softball Asia – Japan Softball Association Coaching Clinic
1. Dates:
1.1 21 January 2024 Arrival of participants.
1.2 22, 23, 24 January 2024 Coaching clinic (3 days)
1.3 25 January 2024 Departure of participants
2. Place: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
3. The Coaching clinic will be conducted by the following:
3.1 Reika Utsugi (Head Coach Japan National Team – 2x Olympic gold medal team).
3.2 Yukiko Ueno (Pitcher – Japan National Team – 2x Olympic gold medal team).
3.3 Minori Naito (Infielder – Japan National Team – Olympic gold medal team).
3.4 Urara Fugimoto (Outfielder)
3.5 Aiko Nakamura (coach – interpreter)
SA thanks the Japan National Team Head Coach Reika Utsugi and her delegation for having kindly agreed to conduct this clinic despite their very busy schedules.
4. Participants
Please note that this is NOT a Coaching Certification Seminar. Those coaches who wish to obtain WBSC-SA Coaching Certification should attend the SA Coaching Certification Seminar which will be held in Pattaya Thailand from 17 – 20 February 2024. SA’s separate email dated 03 November 2023 on this Seminar was sent out to all.
This is a Coaching Clinic which is intended for coaches of national (senior and junior) teams as well as national athletes (Senior and U18) who wish to attend to refine their skills and have more in-depth knowledge and a golden opportunity for participants to share experiences with the Japan National Team Head Coach and some of the JPN national team athletes.
This clinic is open to both men and women teams coaches as well as male and female athletes.
Interested participants should apply through his/her/their National Federation by completing the attached Application Form as well as the Arrival-Departure-Hotel Rooms Request Form and return to SA by 30 November 2023.
5. Costs – Clinic Participants
Participants are to pay USD95 per person per day on twin-share room basis plus 3-meals per day OR USD160 per person per day for single room plus 3 meals per day to Softball Asia by 30 November 2023 . All payments should be made
