WBSC Congress welcomes six new members: Bhutan, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Laos, Saudi Arabia and Tonga

The new members were unanimously voted in by the WBSC Congress, bringing the total number of WBSC member federations to 210 plus 13 associate members.

TAIPEI — The WBSC Congress today approved six new National Federation members to join global baseball/softball family.

The new federations (listed below) were unanimously approved by the WBSC Congress, bringing the total number of WBSC member federations to 210, plus 13 associate members:

In addition, five federations lost their membership: Namibia Softball Federation, Cook Island Baseball Softball Federation, Bermuda Baseball Federation, Iceland Baseball Federation and Sierra Leone Softball Federation.

A total of 133 National Federations were present on Monday during the first day of the IV WBSC Congress staged at the Marriot Hotel in Taipei City, Taiwan.
