TAIPEI — The WBSC Congress today approved six new National Federation members to join global baseball/softball family.
The new federations (listed below) were unanimously approved by the WBSC Congress, bringing the total number of WBSC member federations to 210, plus 13 associate members:
- Bhutan Baseball Softball Federation
- Bulgaria Baseball Softball Federation
- Cape Verde Baseball Softball Federation
- Laos Baseball Softball Federation
- Saudi Arabia Baseball Softball Federation
- Tonga Baseball Softball Federation
In addition, five federations lost their membership: Namibia Softball Federation, Cook Island Baseball Softball Federation, Bermuda Baseball Federation, Iceland Baseball Federation and Sierra Leone Softball Federation.
A total of 133 National Federations were present on Monday during the first day of the IV WBSC Congress staged at the Marriot Hotel in Taipei City, Taiwan.
