
Softball Association of India successfully organised the ‘National Level Online Softball Umpire and Scorer exam 2021 on 31st of January.
This program was was officially announced on 16th January and 8 days given to register nationwide. For registration process Google was used as as an online platform.
All the state secretaries and respective district secretaries were encouraged to get their Umpires and Scorers to register for National level Umpire and Scorers examination 2021.
We suggested all the affiliated unites / states to get register experienced as well as the new one also, who want to know more and work further as an Umpire or scorer in different levels of tournaments.
A total 923 Umpires & 423 Scorers registered for the examination from 27 different state and affiliated units of Softball India.
On 31st of January at 12:00 noon, the Umpire exam link and on 3:30 pm Scorer exam link was sent on registered email to participants and in Umpire’s What’s App groups too.
Participants had 2 hours to solve and submit the respective examination papers.
A total 653 umpires and 359 Scorers participated of the initial registered number.
The answer key of both exam will be published on 3rd of Feb 2021.
Many places in state of Hariyana, Punjab, Meghalaya participants could not appear due to Link failure, we will give them one more chance within a few days.
This is the first online examination conducted successfully with all the unit heads and authorities by Softball India. Country wide education drive for online training for Umpires, Scorers, Players & Grassroot level coaches will be the next step to develop the Softball in India
Softball Asia president Dato Beng Choo, Low, congratulated India Softball on their seminars for umpires and scorers.
